Hello everyone!

Hope you all are still staying safe, maybe this will all be over soon and we can find our "new normal". We have decided to extend the application date for senior rep applications. We have recieved a lot of interest, but we know in uncertain times its not always easy to plan for the future. If you are still interested in applying for the program please click here that will take you directly to the application. Please have them sent in by midnight on May 8 to be considered for the program so we have time to look through all of our applicants and select the ones we feel best represent our brand. If you are still unsure if you would llike to be a part of the team please feel free to reach out. We tried to make this program as focused as possible to make sure that you get the most bang for your buck! Without referrals you will still recieve multiple sessions for the price of 1. WITH referrals you will earn free products and discounts up to 100% off the 1 session you paid for.

Much Love,

Lindz

COVID-19 https://www.shinebrightphotography.com/blog/2020/4/covid-19 Hey everyone,

I hope everyone is staying safe during this difficult time. We are trying to practice every precaution especially with Ruthe having a small child, I am pregnant (woohoo!) and we both have loved ones we help care for that are at higher risk and don't want to expose them more than we have to. We miss you all terribly and can't wait for all of this to be behind us so we can see all your smiling faces. However, until then Shine Bright Photography will not be taking on any new sessions. This is something we have talked about a lot, and we realize that some photographers are offering "front porch" sessions-we do not feel that this is the best representation of our work and want to be able to deliver the quality of product that you have come to expect with SBP. We are still accepting product orders for past sessions and we are working very hard with our labs to get those products out as quickly as possible, but we ask for continued patience if your order does take longer than usual to get to you as our labs are also being effected by social distancing and shelter in place. We thank you all for your loyalty and for everything you do to help Shine Bright Photography be what it is today! Please be safe and we hope you can find the silver lining of all this extra time with your family.

 With love,

SPRING MINIS https://www.shinebrightphotography.com/blog/2020/3/spring-minis

  Hiya friends!

I don't know about you guys but I am DONE with all of this rain! My yard is staying one gaint mud pit and my lab (Coal) is loving every messy second of it! It's time to bring on the sunshine and hopefully some grass seed for my poor lawn! But when the sun comes out so do we, right? Spring and Summer are full of sporting events, vacations, running kids to this, that, and the other.

Here at Shine Bright Photography we understand how hard it is to make time for family photos when all of that starts happening, and one way we like to help make that a little easier is to offer 15 min mini sessions! Lets be honest-who can't block out 15 minutes of their Saturday? You could squeeze that in between games/practices, running teens to the mall, even a quick stop before you head to the lake and you've landed yourself a beautiful portrait that lasts far longer the sunburn.

This spring we are hosting our spring minis at Ladybug Acres in Toney, AL. on Saturday, March 28th. They have been nice enough to let us use their authentic 1950's flat bead truck to decorate for you guys! We are so excited to see you all there! And if you are part of our email list you will receive an extra 8x10 print! Woohoo! If you would like to sign up for our email list before booking your session shoot me a text with your email address at (256)679-6401 or email me at lindz@shinebrightphotography.com

~Short and sweet post, but if you're like me, those are the best blogs anyway! ~

XOXO,

Lindz

Why Print? https://www.shinebrightphotography.com/blog/2018/2/why-print Because you don't want to lose valuable memories.

Print.For lasting memories

We Have Entered the Era of the Photographic Lost Generation

We are taking photos more than ever, but they’re nearly all digital files with very few tangible prints being produced. By now we know that digital never means safe, yet millions of memories are currently being entrusted to servers, clouds and phones. The risk could be felt by our entire generation, as we grow up without a printed, photographic record of our lives. The most photographed generation of all time could wind up being the next Lost Generation.

The Need for a Movement

It’s not just affecting today’s youth. 42% of people between the ages of 30 and 44 will likely look back and wonder where photos of their childhood, holiday get-togethers, relatives and friends have gone decades from now1, and, reportedly, 67% store their photos solely on a computer or phone. Statistics show that a staggering 53% of consumers have not printed a photo in more than 12 months, 70% don’t have photo albums, and 42% no longer print photos at all.

It doesn’t have to be this way. We know that everything from candles, bicycles and vinyl albums have survived the “disruption” caused by technological advancements. We have to remember the value and importance of printed, framed, and mounted photographs in our lives and for the generations after us. Children love to see images of themselves around the house, newlyweds have fond moments when they see their wedding photo on the mantle or walls, and our most beloved pets are sealed in time…all thanks to the power of print.

Print. The Movement

That’s why PPA, along with leading photography industry partners, has created PRINT. The Movement. The movement’s mission is to educate photographers and consumers alike on the value and importance of printed photographs. For consumers, it’s an awareness campaign designed to help consumers see the value in showcasing and preserving their lives or their families’ lives with high-quality prints, albums, and all types of displays from professional photographers and photographic suppliers. For photographers, it’s a chance to show their community and their clients that they know what it takes to create a finished product that speaks much louder than a digital file and that will withstand the test of time.

Some of the partners backing this initiative are: American Color Imaging, Bay Photo, BWC Lab, Canon, Canson, Chromaluxe, Collages, Finao, Fundy, GW Moulding, H&H Color Lab, Hahnemuhle, Kodak Alaris, Marathon Press, Meridian, Miller’s Professional Imaging, Professional Photographers of America, Simply Color, Tyndell Photographic, and White House Custom Color.

Be More Proactive

How can you ensure your memories last for generations? Start by finding the right photographer. PPA photographers spend endless amounts of time and effort perfecting their craft and working harmoniously with their clients. When you need a photographer for that special day or special time in your lives, finding the right one can make all the difference. Once you find him or her, then it’s time to find out about their expertise with print art. Here’s a few questions to guide you through:

Does the photographer offer print art?

Does the photographer have examples of their print art you can review?

Does the photographer use quality paper?

Can the photographer offer quality options within your price range?

Can the photographer show you how the art would look in your very own home?

If you do the right research, you’ll be glad you made the effort. The perfect photographer will also be glad that you are interested in quality work and print art. Together, you and your photographer can create beautiful pieces for your home and for your family.

1 2015 nationwide survey conducted by Professional Photographers of America (PPA)

This is why Shine Bright Photography is a Print Art Photographer.

We want to help you make your memories last for generations.
